Description
Green Cat Contracting were appointed as Principal Contractor to deliver the BoP works for 3no Enercon E82 turbines near Aberchirder, Aberdeenshire on a design and build basis, a project that had previously been deemed unviable by its’ former owner.
Due to the existing topography of the site, an extensive programme of earthworks was required. Due to the weak and variable nature of the existing soils however, two borrow pits were required to facilitate the works.
As well as the onsite electrical infrastructure and substation works, Green Cat Contracting facilitated over 1.5km of new cable installation offsite to connect the development to the existing DNO overhead line.
